I think there wouldn't be all of this fuss if anet allowed to get BMP by any activation of their products (total of $29), not just PlayNC or online store stuff. There wouldn't be this "idonthavecashcard" and "parentsdontbuyonline" reasons of past QQers, there wouldn't be present QQers at all.
I agree it's a slap in the face from anet. Maybe it was unintended effect of making people believe in BMP exclusivity, but anet saw it clearly and didn't do anything about that.

OMG that's not fair for the people that spent $30+ just to qualify for it. If they're doing that I want a refund. Another character slot? No thanks, I'd rather have my money back (except the $5 that it now costs). And I didn't buy GWEN in the online store, I bought it in an actual store. So I wasted money on character slots and bonus items I never use just to get this.

They had plenty of time to qualify for it. Are those of us who spent a ton of cash just to qualify for it supposed to be happy that now people who didn't "deserve" it get it for a mere 5 bucks? I think not. And now that I'm in school I could use that money that I spent.

No it states that the only way to get the bonus mission pack for free in that set time period. You do have to read between the lines to read it like I have but it is VERY mis-leading I agree and a official response would be justified.

No, I don't have a problem with others being able to get it. I just want the extra money I paid to be refunded. It was obvious from reading the many threads at the time, that the majority believed they would not be able to get it unless they bought in the store. Anet knew this and still gladly let us believe it. 2 months earlier access to the BMP, which offers approx 1 hour of gameplay, is not worth £12. Which is the extra amount they tricked us into spending. Yes I could have bought EotN if I hadn't already preordered it before becoming aware of the promotion.

Are we at this again? What gives you the right to judge us unworthy, because our means of transferring money virtually aren't compatible with the online store?

I agree completely. I want the extra money I spent back, the BMP is hardly worth what we spent on it to qualify. 5 dollars is a more reasonable price. So...yeah.

Then how can you get the BMP once you can spend $5 on it anyway? The only way you'll be able to get it is through the online store. And I didn't buy GWEN through it, I got it at Best Buy. So the money I spent just to qualify for something that's worth only $5 was for character slots and bonus items I never use. So I belive it's only fair to give those of us who spent that much money a refund of al lbut the $5 it costs now.

I do agree with this however; the whole thing was so ambiguous that I feared never to have a chance to pay for the BMP (I'm still not 100% sure I will see it at Belgian retailers).

I think they've done a disservice to those who spent the $29. Early on they said it was a limited offer.
I don't see them selling items/auras from the collector editions. Quite frankly I felt this was supposed to be the same thing.

I suggest you reasses your take on the situation:

The Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack will go on sale for the first time at the end of this month! Starting on January 28, Guild Wars fans who did not obtain the Bonus Mission Pack during our recent promotion will be able to purchase it from the Guild Wars Online Store, the PlayNC Store, and a variety of retail partners located throughout North America and Europe.
|
The latter means that people, that couldn't acquire the BMP, will be able to do so soon.

Ditto, but now everyone's quick to point out that the promotion was limited, not the actual BMP. I just wish everyone had been so helpful and honest months ago, when players were asking if we'd ever see it offered again. It sure as hell sounded like now or never to a lot of people. Call me naive (you're not the first and won't be the last), but I figured I'd better not play the odds and get it while I could.
I think this whole thing would have gone so much more smoothly if they'd just straight up said "Buy from us now and you get the BMP earlier, or wait a month and pay a separate fee for it." Not this false panic stuff.

Lmao, as unhappy as I am that I fell for this "scam", it's true. You know what else was a big scam? EotN.
Yeah, I'm not happy about paying $30+ in the store to get it when it'd become available 2 months later for a fraction of the price. But whatever, I would've bought it either way.
I'm happy that others are going to be able to enjoy the weapons from it. (What, did you really think that it would tell us some valuable information we didn't already have? The mission involving Gwen told me nothing, except for how Gabban died...)

Tender, its already been said by Gaile that the main reason for this is to allow those that COULDN'T purchase through the ingame storea second chance to get the BMP...
Due to POPULAR DEMAND they are offering the BMP for sale, as people asked them too

I believe many people, including myself complained about the promotion when it was first announced. It was a terrible idea, and once again, I felt it was pretty obvious they would simply be releasing in the online store a few months down the line. I don't think anybody expected it this early, but even if it was done next year, the same people would still be complaining.
